Moots is back....

Surprise news from the club that Yassin Moutaouakil is back from his loan spell at Motherwell. You have to assume that the Mothers don't have the money to buy him and that he will be on his way again inside the January transfer window. I believe he is a better right-back than Elliot Omozusi but with Omozusi's loan having been extended yesterday, Moots looks way out of Parky's plans at the Valley come what may.

Leeds United have put themselves firmly in the news with a remarkable cup win at Manchester United yesterday. Cheered on by 9000 righteous Yorkshiremen, they took the game to Fergie's boys and could well have added a second before the finish. United started with a number of second choice players but all of their subs were on before the end and Rooney, Owen and Berbatov couldn't find a way through. It was a good advertisement for League One football and we will all be pleased that they have yet another fixture to contend with. I guess Simon Grayson will say it's a nice probelm to have just as long as it doesn't affect their League form.

On the same topic, Jermaine Beckford's goal yesterday looks like forcing a big money window bid that Leeds would find very hard to resist. If he does move on, it's hard to see how Leeds could not miss him during the second-half of the season. I just hope someone with big pockets is looking longingly at Wes Hollahan and Grant Holt.

  1. Did Grayson used to manage Blakpool, and isn't that where Hoolahan came from? If so...Beckford to Newcastle & funds used to purchase Hoolahan?

I think Leeds are already out of site but it would be good to see Norwich weakened.

  3. I feel it's s**t or bust for us. We really need to get at least 2 players in. Not heard about Gold / Sullivan of late....I wonder where they are in the grand scheme of things ?

  4. I wonder if Beckford would prefer to play against Spurs in the next round, and being out of contract in the summer, maybe force the issue at Leeds...I mean, the "experts" on Sunday were saying that Leeds will be in the Premier League after next season! How silver are Grayson and Bates' tongues!?

Norwich have got themselves together, some strong experienced players have certainly given them a backbone of talent. It would be nice to see someone asking for a price list.
